Modern clinical assays require of development of patient-side diagnostic devices for real-time monitoring of body biomarkers. Most of the previous studies reported about wearable point–of–need platforms focused on the development and improvement of detection levels of the developed biosensor. Lately there has been an increasing interest in studying of the instrumentation electronics that accompanies these sensing devices searching for fully integrated, wearable, and easy to use systems. In this work, A fully integrated and portable flexible system for the electrochemical analysis of enzyme- and antibody-based biosensors was developed and documented. The tool provided a suitable solution to the main challenges of this type of technology in terms of size, flexibility, energy consumption and communication.

For its part, the developed enzyme-based biosensor was characterized by FTIR, AFM, SEM, and EDS in such a way that enzyme immobilization could be verified. The measured current resulted inversely proportional with the substrate concentration with very good precision (Current=-36.81×10^(-6)×[ABTS]-23.95×10^(-6),R^2=-0.98). An antibody-based biomicrosystem was also developed for the bioelectrochemical detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis ESAT-6. Biomicrosystem shown promising results as a label-free detection device for M. tuberculosis epitopes, this enables patient treatment in a quicker and more affordable platform to control TB. Finally, a proof of concept of the measurement platform is carried out through fully printed wearable microfluidic nanosensor for sweat rate, conductivity, and copper detection.
